Dear Stakeholders

During November and December 2010 the Department of Energy embarked on a public participation process to elicit comments from stakeholders. This process closed on 10 December 2010. During December 2010 and January 2011 the inputs from stakeholders were considered and the IRP2010 updated.

This document then served before the Inter Ministerial Committee, whom requested some changes. The document eventually served before Cabinet and was approved during March 2010 after further minor changes. The document was promulgated on 6 May 2011 and be published in the Government Gazette.
